Stacia is a phenomenal counselor. I had the pleasure of working alongside Stacia during her initial training as a counselor and have seen her grow over the years as a professional and a person. She has the ability to develop rapport with others rather quickly due to her being non-judgmental and compassionate. People feel safe letting their guard down with her. As a colleague and friend, I know her to also be trustworthy and highly ethical. She has worked with people of all ages and with varying degrees of mental health issues. This speaks to her level of expertise and the work she has put in to gain all of the experience necessary to serve such a wide spectrum of clients. Stacia does not use a one size fits all approach to counseling because she looks at the needs of the specific individual and tailors the treatment plan accordingly. She is one of the best clinicians I know, and she continues to develop herself professionally, which is of great benefit to anyone who considers utilizing her services. You won’t regret it if you do!

In my years of work with Stacia in network and site leadership, I was impressed by her ability to quickly assess the organization and culture, determine critical issues and team needs, create a strategy, and then bring all of the elements to the table and lead successful change through a plan. Her work with under-performing units broke down silos, significantly improved teamwork and morale, and led directly to extensive improvements in customer service and productivity.

I have known Ms. Stacia (I like to call her that) since the second year of my Masters, in 2014. She guided me for 3 years afterwards in clinical supervision, until I got my LPC. She taught me to be creative, to accept that I cannot help everyone, to build boundaries, and much more. Sometimes I felt like she had a ‘treatment plan’ for me. She made sure I knew what I needed to work on and what I needed to do. I still remember that she had me speaking out loud, “I cannot save everyone in my office". I almost cried but it stuck and prevented me from burning out. With her assistance, I found my passion and confidence as a therapist. She challenged me but was supportive at the same time. She is not just a supervisor but a mentor. I still feel supported by her today. I feel lucky to have met her and I hope more people can have the experience I had.

Stacia Wilkins is not only a competent leader who I had the opportunity to work with 2016-2017, she is one of the most personable and professional people I know. Pertinent qualities that stand out include her excellent interpersonal skills and transparency, encouraging open sharing of perspectives among her team members which supports and develops effective problem-solving skills. Moreover, her keen insights, experience in behavioral health and heightened level of emotional intelligence allows for discernment and improved understanding of reasons behind a person’s behavior. Importantly, when an individual better understands these dynamics it’s easier to react with dignity to almost any type of situation one may confront. Moreover, empathy she displays and the trauma-informed approach she uses to engage others enhances prosocial behaviors among her team and she has a distinct ability to relate to others. As a leader, Stacia is authentic and constructive in her feedback, motivating and stimulating. She is good at giving freedom with responsibility to support others growth and development. Stacia gets my best recommendation, as a leader, and as a colleague.

Stacia helped me through such a confusing and difficult time in my life. She listened to me without judgment or presumptions, which is so important in the relationship between a counselor and their client. When I talked about something, I wanted for myself, she had a gentle way of guiding me to that goal. Her use of treatment planning balanced the time I needed to go through my own process with the accountability for the goals I set for myself. Her willingness to meet me where I was at in my journey was evident as she worked with different modalities such as art, photography, and journaling to help me grow emotionally and spiritually. She is a knowledgeable and skilled therapist who knows how to make use of cognitive behavioral therapy, gestalt therapy, etc. and looks for the root cause to help long term not just a band-aid to fix symptoms.

Stacia is truly an awesome counselor of God and has truly gone the extra mile for my organization- A Virtuous Women's Fellowship, Inc. She has been a tremendous blessing to the women who are a part of AVWF and her professionalism and genuine concern for others shined through. During every workshop/group session, Stacia was totally on point with making connections with our women and issues they experienced. She is a great workshop facilitator and definitely an expert who has great insight into the workings and issues of women, their hormones, relationships and mental health. I am certain that some of the women of AVWF are forever changed due to her gracious knowledge and wisdom. Her willingness to be a vessel that Christ can fill and pour out to many is an immense blessing and is where her servant heart shines. AVWF thanks God for putting Stacia in our path to help and be a blessing to so many women. Anyone who receives counseling services from her will experience the same love and freedom that Christ has to offer us.
